I was wondering what your power gauge shows when driving? Mine stays a little over 12 but remember it being closer to 14.

Mine says almost 13 with no a/c on. 12.5 while a/c on. I've seen many different ranges on multiple cars.

If ur worried about ur alternator get a multi meter and have someone rev the car to about 2k to 2.5k and check at the battery. 13.6 to 14.4 is good

Mine sits around 12.5 - 13 with the a/c on and the radio on (have a custom stereo setup with two amps) and right around 12.25 with the a/c, stereo and headlights on.

Yup...I have 60k miles and just changed my alternator 2 weeks ago...Alternator is expensive, but has a $100 core and only takes about an hour or so to do...

It depends on which alternator you have. For early models Porsche supplied a 120 amp unit. Later models had 150 amps. My 120 amp sits a little under 14 with little load. With the a/c running it's about 12.5.

Why would they put that large of an alternator in the car. I also notice the battery is pretty good size. Seems like overkill.

Jim

PS: Its a voltmeter, not an ampmeter.
