Not sure if they're ok for track events (wouldn't be a problem at our PCA events out here though).

Hate to bump such an old thread but was curious if these Recaro Sport Toplines give you any more head room or legroom? Also OP did you ever figure out a good setup? I am 6 foot 3 and 230 and am looking for a little more room! A car I am looking at now has the recaros in it but it's out of state so I can't try them out!

I'm still looking. I think the only solution for me is to have some Sparco Evo 3's with modded side bolsters to fit. Even then it'll be tight on the thighs, waist isn't crazy big at 38/40 but thighs are like 29" each.

Not shaped like a racecar driver

I think I'm sitting a little lower so yes to headroom. Don't think much more legroom as I always have the "extender" at the front fully open to get maximum thigh support.

not sure if they are similar to the "R" seats..but the seats and driving position of the gti is just superb.

My boxster is collecting dust these days.
