Hello everybody... i am new here and have been hanging around for about serveral months now... i have just recieved delievery of my 05 Turbo S... i just installed the GIAC Chip... i am having a problem with the Chip where if i do full gas at about 2000-3000rpm in 4,5,6th gears the car seems to hesitate and choke alittle bit... have anyone had this problem before? is this normal? Please help!!! and by the way how loud is Super Sport and Sport version of the Fabspeed Exhaust, and how much horsepower different between the two... Thanx alot guys

 

What Octane fuel are you running?

 

I am running Sunoco 94 Octane and i forgot to mention that my CEL is on

 

Disconnect the battery for at least fifteen minutes, this usually resets the ECU and would probably get rid of the CEL issue, so if you have a Turbo S, you have the 600 HP program right? I am assuming this because your car is equipped with K24's?

 

well my car is equipped with K24s but i believe i have the EVO Stage I for X50 which is about 515hp the kit includes: GIAC Chip, EVO Dvs, K&N Filter...

 

OK, sounds about right, reset the ECU and see how you go from there.

I WOULD READ THE CODES BEFORE I CLEARED THEM OUT!IT MAY NOT BE RELATED TO THE CHIP,THE CODES THAT IT HAS IN MEMORY WILL GIVE YOU A BETTER IDEA OF WHY THE LIGHT IS ON.

the CEL went on right after you chipped the car?

 

As far as exhausts go, I'd go with the Cargraphic Super Sound Export. Much better sound than the Fab, better build quality and makes just as much hp...........

Yea, no kidding right!! I have heard so many different exhausts, just think the Cargraphic is the best. Oh and I didn't tell you I get a quarter for every exhaust I push?

I've been trying to decide between the Europipe and Cargraphic exhausts for 6-7 months now.

Still haven't made up my mind.
