Got a Durametric

I just got a Durametric..Going to try and figure out one last time, why my 996tt is idling a bit high, and giving me the check engine light before I take it to porsche on Friday. I installed the program and when I try to click on the Motronic (Engine DME) it tells me module failed to initialize. I assume thats the fuction that checks my engine?

What version of Windows?

Did you install Microsoft® .NET Framework 2.0 or 3.5 sp1 (free download) - .NET Framework version 4 is not supported.

Are you running vista, its s4it, I bought another laptop because my Vista one just wouldnt work properly. Wasn't as bad as your saying yours is. Mine would hang up on the G100 tip box module. Some times it would say failed to initialize, some time is was fine.
e-mail Owen Sutton at Durametric osutton@durametric.com; he is brilliant( top guy) and will talk you thorough any problems you have.
Keep us all updated.

OK.. Finally got my Durametric up and running on my computer.. Had taken my car to the Porsche dealer before I had it working and they informed me that I needed a new Air Mass Sensor. They cleared my check engine light and told me to order a new one online and install myself. Check engine light turned back on during the ride home. Instaled the new sensor and once the car warms up, the idle runs high. Unless I turn the A/C on, then it idles just fine. The Durmetric Gave me two fault codes:

Wonder what I should try next...
