bolecailey is infamous around these parts
I am in the same boat as the OP and considering picking up a 996TT somewhere in the 30k to 50K miles. I currently drive an e46 m3, did my own subframe reinforcement and repair, dif replacement, and have done clutch installs and engine rebuilds myself on other cars. How hard are these cars to work on? I remember my moms 87 911 was stupid easy to work on but but understand these water cooled Porsches are a whole different animal. Is daily driving feasible, I am considering making this my only car.

I have a lot of research and searching to do but figured I might as well get started here.

It's my DD. 30,000 km last year. Like any car, some stuff is easy, some things are hard to repair. Luck of the draw which problems afflict you. Do your homework and try to pick a car that was properly maintained.
