Although that just means it is available all by itself.
Anyone interested?

That is a beautiful C4S. I love it.
And Ritchie...you don't know WTF you are talking about. The 996 is a great engine. Admittedly not as strong as a GT3 or Turbo but none the less, the 996 Porsche is a great model.

CruizinKO;
I sort of got bored with it a while back.
My car has $25k + in 'tasteful' mods... so if someone wants all those mods, then it is a killer deal. If someone has no interest in all the mods, then it is no deal at all.
One could easily buy the car you listed at 68, and add just the seats and coilovers and be over 72.... or just the V1 with in mirror display and exhaust and be at 71... or just the Techart steering w/ wheel silver airbag and a few other minor bits and be around 72, etc.
With the exception of the stock wheels, mine also comes with just about all the original stock parts (seats, black belts, etc.).
It is all in what someone is looking for.

Captain Tal (no one will touch a 996 in a few years)
Why don't you go to PCA.org (Porsche Club of America) and search RMS. I guess the technical people on that site (Joel Rieser, Steve Kasper) do not know what they are talking about either. Here is one of many post
I have a brand new US Specs 2004 Turbo that I picked up in Zuffenhausen Mar 04. I kept it below 4200 RPM IAW break-in guidance from Porsche AG, and now drive it 'normally' on the autobahn. Already developed a significant oil leak! Is it possible this is the RMS? On a new turbo?
State: Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany
Total Mileage: 1300
Car Use: Street use only
It is a good thing you are still over there. Take it back to them and see what they have to say.
Your turbo motor is a completely different design than the standard 996. Your engine uses the latest version of the crankcase that was used in the 911 since 1963, and evolved all the way to the 964, 993, GT1, GT2, and GT3 cars. It is not subject to the same RMS problem as the normal 996, which uses a new-design higher-volume lower-cost engine created almost from scratch for the Boxster and the non-turbo 996 in the mid/late 1990's. In 30 or 40 years they won't have this problem either.
