Killed by 630hp Mustang GT500

I know how you feel. I live in the Detroit area and there is a lot of American Muscle around here with some serious HP. You never know what people have under the hood. Lots of "sleepers" out there.

? 630whp is no slouch, you may want to opt for
the injectors, and race fuel, pass on just doing FPR only.
At 1.1 bar on CA 91 octane I'm in the 500 whp range. Not sure having an X50 really makes any difference, I assume slightly better IC's, best to upgrade those anyway at the 600whp level.

My car stock with flash kept up with a stock 2011 GT500. I've gone billet K16's and a host of supporting mods to make sure that even if he gets his pulley upgrades, I'll still be able to take him on head to head.

I raced a nearby GT500 in the 1/4. With slicks (almost stock otherwise) ran a 11.7 (or something like that - very fast).
He has since upgraded a little, and is now running low 11's (I haven't checked in for a while, so he may be even faster).
There is no way a 996tt can run that stock.

The newer GT500s don't need much for that power. That was most likely a pulley swap, intake, exhaust, tune. They can swap blowers and make 700-800 with ease.

The GT500 is not a 5.0, but a supercharged 5.4L. Pretty fast.

18gs, injectors, decent exhaust, maybe ICs.... good tune... maybe with a EBC and your ready to rock n roll...
