Killed by 630hp Mustang GT500
Raced a 630 hp Mustang today in my 996tt and got killed like 4 or 5 times.
Thought it would be a piece of cake as I already killed a 700 hp V10 RS6 but it looks like these Mustang things are fast at high speeds.
K24/18G may be coming sooner than I thought.

If the RS6 was making 700 at the flywheel, and the GT500 was making 630 at the rear wheels (which is a piece of cake on those cars), you are talking about two totally different levels of performance.
I ran a 630 rwhp GT500 in my GT2, and while I pulled it very hard, I was making 700ish rwhp at the time. That Mustang would have smashed a stock turbo car like yours.

As would a 700hp RS6 no matter where the hp is measured. I think it was broken.

probably not a real 700hp car, people exagerate #s all the time, if the Audi was making 700hp at the wheels he would crush you, sorry

Weight certainly has an effect, but so does parasitic loss through the Audi's drivetrain. That's why crank HP is meaningless. All that matters is the amount of power that makes it to the wheels.

Either way, the K24/18g upgrade will even things out for you.

There's a guy with an RS6 that lives up here somewhere close in the mountains and we've raced up the roads a few times and he sounds stock and I have a hard time trying to push him. However, I think he has better gears (i.e. shorter) for the corners up here. They've fast cars stock but without a tune, american muscle can just kill things. I was just meeting in Houston with a guy in my company that has a Camaro tuned by Hennessey to 700+ WHP and he can hit almost 200 without much trouble. Cheap muscle and money for the speed.
