Has anybody done the TT Tiptronic Software Upgrade and found it to be such a No Brainer its a must, particularly for a tuned car, how about the lightweight TT pulley wheel also ??

They have. No real gain from everyone I'v talked too.

 

If you have a real need for an upgrade for your TIP.. I would contact renntech in florida.. they have built some upgraded TIP transmission for high HP cars.. they might do a simple TCU flash also.. not sure.

 

I had both done... I had expressed my feelings on the TCU tune; for 1k (plus labor)... I'll do it again with no second thought. I won't say no gain on the TCU upgrade. If you are looking for faster up-shift time, there is no improvement on that. But for everything else, I think it is a plus. If your power curve is still going up after 6500 rpm, the 7k rpm will sure give you a few more horses. I love that extra "kick" during wot when gear changes.

The light weight pulley is an interesting mod; the smaller dia. pulley does make the car respond quicker. I could feel that right away after I picked up the car on my way home.

 

who makes the lightweight smaller diameter pulley please ? How much labor is involved please

 

Mine is EVOMs, and I know there's at least one more sponsor from 6speed is selling them, just do a search. In terms of labor, I thnk it will take about 3 hours. talk to your mechanic.

Love your mod list. If my tranny ever failed and needed a rebuild, I would go to GT3076 too. Have you built your internal too?
