MJ3 is infamous around these parts
I used to have body color centers but recently had them satin black. The lips have always been polished.

So, with that in mind, has anybody got any thoughts or pictures they'd like to share with me?

Polished and/or brushed pictures are always welcome

Polished is class. Chrome is bling.

Agreed on the chrome

Chromed wires on classics are ok, but that's it

Here's a pic of my centres

I'd primed and sanded them ready for painting - then I thought maybe I should polish them instead

Reckon it'll take a little while to get 'em shining

Got some flap wheels delivered today, reckon they should speed up the sanding process a little

I think you should paint the centers with the polished lips. Looks timeless. I'm just waiting for the black wheel fad to pass soon, looks like everyone is driving around on their spare tires!

I like red.

Polished is great.

Chrome is very 80's and tacky, in my opinion at least. If a guy with red wheels feels it is tacky...think about it. Polished "dull" is fine...super shiny polish to almost chrome...tacky.

Shiny Rims -

Must say that a shiny rim really makes a great contrast. It's all about proportions. Black or other painted rims just seem to distort the proportions of the car... you might just as well drive a Yugo... Have a look at this picture

I've never wanted to paint the centres silver or black

If I was going to paint them I was going to do them a little 'silly'

I'd thought about mirror polishing the rims and them painting the centres one of the following colours.....

Yellow, White, Red, Pink, Lime Green

But now I'm thinking about either brushing or mirror polishing them

I think brushed would look best, but curiosity will probably mean I'll polish at least one of them first

Reckon it'll be a bit too bling for my liking though

PS. Chrome wheels develop bead leaks all the time.
