Polished Wheels are too Bling??

I'm currently refurbing my split rims

I haven't been able to choose a colour for the centres - So i've decided to polish them (along with the rims)

I'm about half way through the first wheel and think they might end up looking a little too gangsta for me

So, with that in mind, has anybody got any thoughts or pictures they'd like to share with me?

Polished and/or brushed pictures are always welcome

Polished rims always look great on a Porsche especially if you have a nice lip on the rim!!

Got quite a good lip on them - 4" on the rear if I recall

This is what I started with

Part way through sanding

Just started polishing

I'm not too sure if polished centres will be over the top though?

I have polished Sportec 19" Mono. I like the clean, uncluttered and teutonic look of them. You can see that picture in my garage.

Just checked your pics - very nice!

I've always liked those wheels
Their blue car always looked good to me

Yours looked brushed/machined possibly with a clearcoat?

Can somebody tell me - on your 'naked' wheels are the inner rims and the rear of the centres also naked, or are they protected in some way?

I didn't know whether to have the inners and rears painted, and just the outers and faces polished?

Polishing the inner rims sure wouldn't be fun

Must have a close look but clearcoat is obviously something to think about to keep the maintenance down and the shine up

Polished outer rim with silver centers would probably be best imo

I had similar thoughts. My polished HRE's came with the car when i bought it and i was thinking of getting rid of them for some matte carbon rims, but they've really grown on me and even lay-people (girls who dont give a sh*t about cars) seem to like them.

The've grown on me and I've become a fan. Pic attached.

I liked my car best when I had all-polished wheels.
It's not a Porsche though and I understand a less show-offy wheels would be more the norm. But it isn't. There is no norm. Just what you like. An all polished wheel looks hot. Go for it!
