Great day at Infineon Raceway Sat

VID997 (997tt) and I had another track day Sat with CFRA. It was a busy day with 3 different clubs sharing the track and an autocross in the parking lot, made it pretty exciting. My CC brakes held up great but the car seemed to slip and slide a bit- maybe just pushing the tires too much. In the videos you can see the G force in the lower left corner- the first ring is .5 then 1, so it may just be a function of traction. VID didn't have this issue with his fresh R6 slicks. Like to go that route one of these days. My best time was a 1.56.7.

GatorTT is infamous around these parts
Great videos. What tires were you running? The car looks neutral.

that looks like so much fine. I can't wait to get comfortable enough with my car to the point where I won't be afraid to track it

Tracking it is one of the better ways of exploring with your car. All clubs have an entry level with training. Recommend this to everyone!

I'm running MPS Cups on factory 18" twists and factory size. They work well, but certainly showing their wear already.

...and Sunday's halftime entertainment...

By the way...the 250cc two stroke go-karts were turning 1:48's and I think better....CRAZY! No seat belts, no suspension, and no roll over protection...a lot of the guys I spoke with were 50 or older!?! Good God...

Great stuff! Can't wait to get back to Infineon soon. I'm planning a day at Laguna Seca later this Fall.

Hoosiers all mounted up on the 997TT and Etchhead sporting his new Cool Carbon gear for all to see, including a Cool Carbon shirt he wore all weekend...he'll have to do a little Cool Carbon write-up now to seal the deal : )

Prepped and awaiting our first session of the day....which ended short due to a broken wheel axle on a Spec Miata coming out of T3...which I almost t-boned... abit of a moment, to say the least.
