Where are people getting the aluminum trim rings? Porsche part number is 5071. Don't see them listed on Bumperplugs.com, but a.picture is on their home page? I have read to use clear silicon to mount them.

 

They are all over the place on ebay. You can use double sided tape.

 

i used the ebay ones, the fitment wasnt great, you need to force them to stay in place, the tape wasnt strong enough to hold them, silicon takes too long to dry so i used superglue, worked perfectly, held them in palce for 20 seconds then moved on to the next one, got a little glue residue on the plastic but wiped it off with some denatured alcohol

 

Do you have a link to a current EBAY auction? I have searched every which way on EBAY, but found nothing. Searched under aluminum bezel, and trim ring. This is all I have found so far:

I looked up a few of the places that used to carry these - it seems they are largely discontinued. Back in '02-04 everyone had these and they were the rage at the time :-)

Vertex seems in line with what I paid for a set back then...

Any members here have them installed that could post multiple images from different angles....I think i like these.

The 996 rings were purchased from Performance Products (same company as Automotion). I believe they are discontinued now.

I think the 993 rings came from there also, but I am not certain.

The vertex rings appear to be from the same source as mine pictured above.
