Thats exactly what i'm missing...if I could fabricate then I wouldn't even ask anyone for anything.

It is a freedom. But it is double sided. I am always ready to rip something apart. You can buy the cores mock them up make the tanks out of oak tag or cardboard tape it together. When it all fits up the way you want cut the tape trace the pieces on to 1/8 thick alum. and cut them out with a 4 1/2'' X 0.45 cutting wheel. Mark all the pieces that join AA BB CC DD and so on. When you need to clock the outlets you scribe them out then place two hash marks across the pipe to the tank. Take all that to a local welder that can weld alum with a TIG welder not a MIG welder. Pay the extra so you can watch and learn (LOL) leak test and you are out banging gears..

Its really challenging because if you get the endtank then you have to weld them then put in on the car then add the brackets and notice things are sticking out then add the plastic covers and realize non of it fits at all.. and start all overt again... been there done that many times.. In the end will be weeks of work and countless of hours...
there are a handful of issues trying to stuff that big core... I did one for 6" as well and thats a few days of work alone on the car...
Thats site, whoever is selling it has no clew what size should go in there.. furthermore its probably cheap asian stuff...
I laughed when I read that "This core was designed around the Porsche twin turbo 966 intercooler."

my 6" core

My guy is VERY good with sheet metal. He will draw it out so each is laser cut as one piece and then they will be bent to form the shape to minimize the weld joints. I'll weld my mounts and pipes while it's on the car, i have a tig welder in the garage. I plan to make smaller end tanks because i'm only on billet K16's. We'll see how it comes out.

Markski was right, they will not fit without hacking things up. I just pulled the bumber and it did not look good at all.

These are the bell ones i will be ordering.

Yeah this summer heat is killing us here. I'll start a project with the car and it'll take days to finish because I can't stand the heat. Still have all my interior to put back in my car, plugs on my brothers 997TT, an exhaust to build as well for my car, and a few other fun things LOL!

You will have a hard time with that one too... 9" wide is too wide for the black plastic to go around the core... with the 14" long core your endtanks will be tiny as hell... don't ask me how I know... lol
Can you make a one off.. probably...
Cant wait to see what you come up with ... better yet what come up against to make it work.. good luck
markski

I mannage to stuff a 2JZ-GTE in the back of a Delorean. I had to custom fabricate the flywheel and 3.5" tall bellhousing to make it fit, these intercoolers will be a walk in the park.

Here are some pics other turbo systems i've built for DeLorean around the US.
