yup - you still have to use the new style 997 clamp. i squeezed it a bit before reinstalling it.

i think my problem might have been using the 997 clamp with the old rubber seal...

so I tried to the fit the new metal fitting with the new rubber seal and 997 clamp, but the clamp would not get a tight fit no matter what I did.

I ended up going with the other style clamp (one side up, one side down) and it clicked right in place and was very snug. Did a few runs and no problem...then on a fourth or fifth run at like 1.4ish bars it blows out and I lose another seal and my new metal fitting gets dinged

I need to figure out how to do some wire x clamp to hold in (like the other member said)

put on a OEM hose... see if that solves it... if not then you might have a bigger problem... wonder if others are having similar issues...

This concerns me a bit. Should go in straight with minimal sideloading. Might need to trim the hoses a bit. I've had no issues at similar boost levels with both stock and Forge hoses and fittings.

im thinking its the AP hose. as earl said make sure you are putting the hose stright up into the cooler. and i would still stick to the 997 clamp. i put the clamp in first the proper way and then push the hose up and get it to do a nice click. then make sure the clamp is still prorly seated.

this problem is super annoying

get a set of Forge hoses. full set is under 500$. Earl3 said they work with 997.2 ICs for fact. or buy a stock hose from the dealer and see if problem persists.

996 110 631 74 is the part number for stock left lower hose. sonnen sells it for like 50-60 bucks
