P/S Pump & Reservoir

Well, bit of confusion with part numbers. I don't trust my local dealer. Have an '02 Turbo X50 6spd on the rack, the reservoir developed issues with the sealing of the rear return line with the red plastic collars, ran dry violently and trying to figure out which part is which has proved to be challenging.

Dealer lists pump as 997-314-040-00 $1173, Pelican $1202, Worldpac: N/A

Pelican lists pump application as 996-314-040-01 for $451, & Worldpac: $197

They don't seem to cross reference which is troubling. 911pcar/LA dismantlers only has a tiptronic application available.

Any suggestions on assistance in breaking down who is correct? Or suggestions on dismantlers who may have one?

Thanks
-Zac

The updated oem part numbers should be:

Reservoir: 997-314-920-31

Pump: 997-314-040-00

Excellent, thank you. Now the search begins, google shows I'm not the only poor bastard who's been in this situation. This is exactly what happened to the car I'm working on.

I read a ton of people having issues with LA Dismantlers in the past, they couldn't get me a reservoir used, so I searched online and found http://www.stuttgartclassicparts.com/ Called them up, and they were much lower than my wholesale as a business on the part direct from Porsche and what a mistake. I should have chocked up and just went to the dealer. Ordered part on the 16th via phone, was said it would be there the 18th on friday in their hands and shipped to me and arrive on monday or tuesday via fedex so I can return this car to it's owner. I call today, and they say it hasn't left their facility and don't know how it's being shipped. Now I'm going to be holding the bag the day before thanksgiving empty handed. Not a happy camper.
