I read on a forum that you just pull really hard, but mine is not budging. I just want confirmation before I rip my E-brake to hell

Some handles are very tight, some are not so much.
A friend of mine who's doing al lot of Carbon fiber trim works told me that they are only glued and it's possible tu pull them away with a lot of power.
In my case it's also not possible to remove it.
But when you heaten up the glue with a hair dryer or something like this that it will be fluid, it must be possible to remove it easily.
Who wants to try?
I've bought a new one with carbon fiber trim and replaced it against the old one, easier!
The lower part with the leather trim is easily to remove by hand.

You have to remove the center consol to take out the brake handle assembly. It's not difficult just time consuming.

I just want to remove the handle part, not the whole assembly.

Let me post a few pics of the Ebrake out of the car. I think you can see the ebrake is held in by a pressed in hollow shaft that goes through the ebrake mount on both sides holding the ebrake in place allowing it to pivot on the shaft. Ignore those two little star screw above the housing, all they do is hold the ebrake halfs together in place between the housing and the shaft. You'd either need to get a hydraulic press to push the shaft out or drill it out neither of which will work with the assembly in the car. I know taking the entire center cons0l apart is a big PIA, but it's not hard to do, just time consuming.
