Nice to see a good price on some internal parts...I know the labor all depends on the shop, but how about a rough estimate on how many hr/cost this would be to build a motor...I know this will vary, but I'm sure most would like to know...I've done a bit of research and the labor hands down will be the most expensive part of doing a motor build...It's a very labor intensive process...Also do you have any recommended shops to do the motor work?

I will get book time tomorrow. We have an engine here we are building a core type program where we ship you the completed and then you send us yours. You could also ship your engine to us and we could build here and send back so you just hoist her in! I would be more then happy to recommend BBI in Hunington Beach. We do alot of business together and they take care of people well.

The pistons we have instock for the 3.82L are 8 8 1. You can custom choose which pistons you want and then we can price the appropriate liners out. For the head gasket, we use the Cometic ones.
Jitsu - We have a short block being assembled for a car here. We know the parts are good, but the power will depend on alot. I WOULD LOVE to get the 4.0L in a car. I would think as you said use to being $30K, this is not a bad deal less the cost of labor and OEM parts needed.
