Mother is infamous around these parts
I do not mind running a hotter plug as long as someone else does it first over a long time. I have separated pistons at the oil ring more times then I care to say.

IF I may ask?? How come you dont want to call someone like GIAC and get straight answers from them because they do tunes for superchargers...Isnt it worth getting it done instead of risking the money for a new motor or a bad running set-up??....Just my thought to help....Good Luck....

Are you using a piston for a boosted application? or stock N/A piston? Breaking the skirts off pistons at the oil rings is more of a bad piston design then a tune. broken top or second ring is something else though. I really dont remember but I think the N/A piston has a offset pin which will tend to rock the piston and the add power from the boost can be what is braking your pistons. If it is detonation there would be some other signs too. Are they an other signs?

I spoke with GIAC years ago and where not much help. The car is out of tune and is on the rich side but would be worried it where lean. What questions would you ask?

When separating pistons was on a corvair in the 60's which was not the best engineered car to begin with however the engine was in the rear.

Thanks and makes sense, however judging by diffferent maps AFR is ok however the timing needs to be adjusted throughout the rpm range it would be nice to see this timing with Durametric anyone?
