Slider,

I guess you have our older 70mm twin cannister system, so the remedy I suggested previously in this thread will not work with that system. The 70mm twin can system has more drone than our 3" X-flow, which is typical of the traditional style exhausts. I will check to see if I have any of the quieting inserts for that 70mm system left...

The 3" catless is real nice - it's just a little too loud for me personally, but I had a great time making videos with it last week!

Chad likes the 3" catless X-Flow the best of all our systems...

It shouldn't. I've had the 3" version w/ 100 cell cats & EPL tune on for almost 9 months and 10,000 miles and no cells here. I also just had my mechanic check the OBDII readiness and it is good to go.

Lets see I am going from a Europipe Stage 1 here, which already sounds brilliant and has completely unrivaled workmanship to this Speedtech exhaust as it offers a GT3 sound profile, lets see, it will be a very, very Stern Comparative Test

Hi Richard,

I just sent you a PM. I prefer our internal X-flow sound myself. I think you will be very happy with the change and completely satisfied. You will not be the first to do this...

You will also be dropping 20+ lbs off the rear of the car with the change.

I have the 2.5 quiet Xflow ...

I'm happy with the exhaust, wife friendly. I don't daily drive my car, so I could handle it if it were a tad bit louder, I probably should have gotten the 3" version. I'm catless also, I actually think with the cats on it's too quiet. I think my exhaust preference is leaning slightly towards the louder end of the spectrum.

You can really hear the turbos spool, which is nice. I really don't care about being able to talk on the phone etc., it's all about the music from the engine

I'd like to see some better pics of the tip options available, the single tips have grown on me, but were of concern after the initial install.

Yes a square on photo of the twin tips vs single tips would be good

Hi Richard,

We have three tip options for our X-cellerator cross-flow system.

1) Single round dual wall, rolled edge, slant cut, polished

2) Dual, straight slash cut edge, polished. These are made either true dual outlet for a louder system or only one side active for a quieter system. Cutomer preference.

3) re-use OEM twin circle style tips

That said, each tip style has an effect on the sound of the system, both inside the cabin and outside the car. The number one tip (single round version) is the result of testing several different designs to achieve the perfect sound with our system. It is engineered to maximize the GT3 sound you referenced earlier in this thread. With the other styles, you may gain a look you prefer, but you sacrifice a bit of our potential sound quality. I personally use the dual wall, single round tips because they make the system sound absolutley fantastic and they look great installed, too. I highly recommend the single tip to all customers, as it is a shame to put this sytem on and not maximize the sound potential, as that is what everyone really wants - an awesome sounding car!

Here they are - pictures of each installed:

#1 - single round tips

# 2 - twin tips

#3 - OEM tips
