I have a boost leak sure the tuner is good tunes heaps of Porsche in AU.

Easy to get more torque just add more fuel.

Car is very very very quick.

Car was tuned on a chassis dyno jet.

I reckon 298kw and 852nm is pretty good with standard turbos.

I will fix boost leaks and post more about this later on

Timccloud - I know that you are in a tough situation. You went with a recommended local tuner, dyno-tuned as well, and now there's something not right. Maybe you have a boost leak on top of it all? As difficult as it may be, please listen to the experienced voices that have already replied to your thread.

Something with the tune is just not right. Stock K16's should not be boosting to 1.4 bar -- way beyond their efficiency range (more boost does not always equal more power if the turbo is not functioning efficiently). I would recommend considering flashing back to stock, then going with a "remote" off-the-shelf tune from an established vendor from this forum. It may not be optimally dyno tuned (but adjustments can also be made remotely with data logging), but it will be good power delivered safely.

Boost leaks are prone to happen above 1.2 bar unless you replace boost hoses and what not. At that boost level you might be needing new plugs as well but you didn't mention misfire? Whatever is done with the tune you might be stuck with a number of different failures.

1.4 bar(!) sounds like it's hitting too hard and throttle is shutting down to save you from "booom!" from boost going outta control - as above said that doesn't fit on a K16 on pump gas. Did you datalog your car at all to see what's going on?

I don't think ppl are trying to be smart we're all trying to help you to not blow your engine up driving the car in that condition.

Markski has offered to help, he has a good rep with all the members here.

Kevin at UMW is very helpful as well and has a lot of Australian customers.

I'd ditch the tune and go with one where you can flash a stock file back in to see if it eliminates the problem and then flash in the tuned file.

Go with Markski over at 911tuning. He stands behind his products and if anyone can fix your issue, he will be able to. Mark found lots of issues with my car after it had been serviced and checked by a top Porsche shop in my area. Car runs better than the day I bought it.

Actually doesn boost to 1.4 bar boosts to 1.2. Will check for boost leaks and see how it goes tuner is very good tunes heaps track and road cars in au with huge numbers. I have had the psm abs problem for ages just been to busy to fix it only happens at low speed and never on boost

code 5225 relates to to torque imbalance if i remember correctly thats why i named this post imbalance your ideas have been a good help except for the smart **** spool bus

anyway thanks heaps i will post what i find after the boost leak test has been carried out.

Cheers
