996 TURBO TORQUE IMBALANCE AFTER TUNe
Can any one help ???
After a re-tune i have a torque imbalance problem and the computer will cut all power. I can re start but have to pull over and remove key. Computer will also cut PSM and ABS for no apparent reason
Car is mildly tuned standard turbos 5 bar fpr full gemballa exhaust evo intake plus a Y pipe GT2 Intercoolers and upgraded diverter valves, 920nm Clutch and wave trac limited slip diff.
Chassis dyno says 298kw and 852nm at the wheels. Approx 400hp and 628ft lbs.
Need help with the Torque Imbalance its not really a problem but would like it to stop as with the PSM ABS trouble.
I took it back to the tuner and he raised the torque limit 10% but with no sucess

Tim....sounds like your ECU is going into some sort of limp mode. What tune do you have?
I'm not a tuning expert by any means, but the fact that you have 628 lb/ft of TQ with only 400 HP is a big red flag for me. If I had to guess I'd say that there is something in the tune that's causing the OEM safety protocols to kick in. Something seems way off.

Car was bench tuned on a dyno jet chassis dyno in Australia.
I like more torque than hp because of the strict laws in AU.
To get the added Torque thee Tuner just adds some more fuel, simple really.
Car is very quick but have these problems yes you are correct the computer hits the safety button.
Porsche say there is no problem but are unsure how to fix.

Standard turbos? Which turbos, k16 or k24? Your TQ to HP ratio is all jacked up. You'll probably blow a turbo soon. Too much timing? IMO, that tune is all wrong.

That's what I meant, but BHT said it better.
