Excellent taste! But them I'm a tad biased with a purple 993tt and a black S4 avant

 

Thanks guys, they sure are both wonderful machines. S4's will always have a soft spot in my heart.

 

I sold my B5 S4 when I purchased the 911. Still miss that car. Bought it new and had the AWE stage III dialed in when I sold it with 142K on it.

 

Beautiful! I love them S4's and obviously the 996TT's. I have a B5 Wb avant with GT28's and will probably sell the 996TT before I let go of the S4.

 

Hate to say it, but I think I'm more of a long term Audi owner than a Porsche owner. There's so much potential with both platforms but the thought of a Wagon that could run over most of what is out there makes me happy!

Totally hear you! I got the S4 Avant to replace my prior DD, a '98 993C4S Aero. The Audi's just as fast but far more luxurious and can carry 5 wheels... or two mountain bikes INSIDE the car, etc., etc. The comfort, the versatility, the performance are simply awesome.

And I love how the S4 (mine is black) is totally off the radar. Cops don't look twice at it even when I'm doing 85 in a 65. Conversely, in my 993C4S Aero (ocean metallic blue over cashmere) the police would look at me with strong distaste if I was just a few miles over the speed limit.

Still got the 993TT for the weekends though But as a DD, an S4 Avant simply cannot be beat.

I loved my B5S4 and still miss it. It was a blast to drive and it was definitely a sleeper (which made it even more fun to drive since I could get away with a lot more). But man, after 6 years of B5S4 ownership the maintenance just wore me down :-/
