What mods have you got on the Mercedez?

I drove the AMG when it came out and was a little disappointed
It seemed slow, soft, wollowy, and heavy

Having said that - I think I was expecting it to be something that it's not

Thinking about getting one for my dad as he's pretty keen on them, so it'd be good to hear from someone with a bit of seat time and experience with them

Thanks bud

It's a ton of mods on my SL55 AMG, from custom LT headers to custom intake boxes, y pipe, TB, tune, injectors, plugs, pulley, remote reservoir cooling, quaiffe LSD, exhaust sytem, x-pipe cross over....you name it...check out my ad in the FS section for details...man it's a lot of stuff.

you should buy mine for your dad....I guarentee it will be the best one and put a smile on his face!

I honestly would, but we're the other side of the world to you
Are the Mercedes all fully specced, or are they like the Porsches where everything's an optional extra?

How do you find the CCWs?
I'm thinking about getting a set for the 911
Only thing is I don't think I could go for the polished ones
My current wheels are polished, and they're not great in the British weather

Gotta say, I'm in total admiration of your garage

I keep thinking about buying another older classic car when my current one is restored, but then I just keep looking at Astons and can't decide which way to go

You can always have it shipped to UK, and at $45K USD you would be getting a HUGE bargain on a car that would be MUCH better then any of the Mercs over there, much more hp and torques for the work I've done!

Thanks for the compliment on the garage , I've had more but I've sold several and I am selling the Merc, and will sell some of the 30 wheels and tires I have for the cars at some point...and some of the spares and parts and so forth. Just not enough space for the lot of cars and materials a lot of which I never even got around to installing or using!

As for CCW you can't go wrong...you're not going to find a better wheel and better guy to deal with then John P. Give him a call, tell him I reffered you, he is a great guy, knows a ton about wheels, and has the best customer service in the business

My DD, has been since '00. Runs too well and is to much fun to replace. This pic is in the Silver Island Mountains near the Utah Nevada border. I take it in the desert often and up to 50 miles off highway.

This is my kid hauler (2011 STI Limited). Lightly modified to about 350 HP/TQ, some appearance mods, wheels and tires. Soon to be sold to make way for something else though!

This is my '77 Ford F-150 Ranger stepside shortbox Hi-boy. Heavily modded for off-roading. It's now matte black though and the '70s funk paint job is gone! This truck can go just about anywhere.
