Owning Porsche #6 right now, fortunately never crashed one. I do at times drive very aggressive but I feel 100% in control and do so when there is no other traffic around. I have crashed motorcycles about 35 times in 8 years of roadracing though and half a dozen times on the street. It's most always when leaned way way over and the back tires goes. Sometimes in the rain too in the turns.

Fell off my bike last year for the first time

I think bikers fall into two categories;
Those that have fallen off
And those that will fall off

IT's what we teach in DE training gang...

Situational awareness and vision are so key in driving these cars to their potential... Best money anyone could ever spend on these cars is DE/Drivers training!!!

Not as sexy as any mod, but way more uesful in the real world!

Crashed my first Porsche a 01 996tt had it for two months, going through a green light and two chatty college girls turned left in front of me in there moms Saab.
I hit the front passenger side tire of the Saab with the nose of my car and tore the wheel and half shaft off the Saab.
My air bags went off, the side windows blew out and even crumpled the rear quarters by the tail lights, all from a front impact. I couldn't open the doors and had to crawl out the window. Got terrible whiplash and missed two weeks of work cause I couldn't move my head. The girls in the Saab were fine. I think if the airbag didn't go off I probably wouldnt have gotten whiplash as it violently snapped my head back. I'm in Canada but the quote for damage through insurance was $65000 and Porsche figured a year for all the parts to arrive.
Luckily they wrote it off and I turned a tidy profit as I purchased it in the states and they are valued way higher here in Canada.
Had it for two months!!! It took me a year to find another clean bone stock low miler with a stick.
The only saving grace was the fireman saying I killed his dream car. I agreed.

Sad but true. I'm glad that when I joined that particular club that it was a single vehicle accident and only me and my bike got hurt. It was not a particularly dramatic accident either.

I crashed mine. I pushed it more and more. Driving without PSM. The car didn't reach it's limit. But I did

Spun out and crashed it. Looked good but I managed to push my right rear wheel in my motor.

And a lot more fun than driving fast and reckless on the street endangering other people's lives. Couldn't agree more

No pics, but I hit a deer with mine soon after I bought it. $8K in damage.

Other than the new headlight being nice and clear and the old one cloudy, you can't tell.

+1 on both you and Mike's comments. I would never dream of finding mine or the cars limit on the street. I drove my first Turbo (01) every day for 4 years. Every type of weather. Tracked it 10-15 times a year (sometimes more). I had a few close calls on the track (blew a coolant hose, hit the breaks and had nothing, but was able to use the run off instead of the wall.

Last June, on the way home from work during rush hours, I was hit by a kid making an illegal left turn through traffic at a red light. No one hurt - 01 Turbo RIP.

Sorry to hear about your accident.

Never crashed any of my 911s. Spun my first 996 coupe a few times while pushing it on the track, luckily no damages. With the AWD and all the electronic nannies never spun the turbo. They don't call the GT2 the "widow maker" for nothing!

You referring to Pilot Sport Cups or just the street version Pilot Sports?

"The Widow Maker" was exactly what was running through my mind as I was spinning down the exit ramp.

I have never wrecked , but i have lost it once or twice, i remember the one time, car sat for a long time so i took her out ,well she had race gas in her and the boost cranked up to 1.7 bar.... from last time , and last time the roads where a bit warmer.. so let the car war up a bit , and drove normal, then getting off the exit i decided to punch.... it yeah no big deal and got me all off guard and the car was allover the place...i about soiled my ants but luckily i gor her under control... lesson learned.

Back in 2003 when I had my 1999 C2...Get this,,an Asian from Tennessee driving a beater,no insurance,go figure,,,,,Made a left hand turn in front of me while I was going about 35mph straight thru the intersection.....I had my daughter in the car with me,she was 5yrs old at the time...She was just shakened up and totally freaked out....Totaled out the whole front of the car like an accordion. The airbags never deployed???.....The kicker,,,The ambalance from the fire house I work at took us to the hospital...lol..
