Valves: sodium filled ?
While reading the book "Porsche excellence was expected" I 've just found out the exhaust valve on the 356 of 1948 are sodium filled....Anybody know if the intake or exhaust valves are sodium filled on our TT. I also discover the GT2 exhaust valves are filled with sodium. "The exhaust valve stem is hollow and filled with sodium to improve heat dissipation." Just wondering if it is the case for the normal turbo...

The valves are not anything special. GT2 same motor as a turbo. K24 turbos are the only motor difference. The stems are too thin for filling with sodium. You can not use titanium in a turbo running any kind of boost (under 5 psi)

Tim, I got a pdf called "2001_911gt2_Technik" made by Porsche and this is a copy of the page that talk about the head. But it is for the 2001 model. And they mention sodium filled exhaust valves (see attach picture about the middle). Can it be possible some model are different....
