12mm custom ARP Studs -Precision Porsche Newport Beach
all new gaskets(TRE), lifters and lifter housing, bearing and timing chain - Sunset Porsche in Az

80lbs injector
rear wheel conversion with OS Giken LSD
Rebuilt transmission, 1st-3rd gear 997GT2, steel synchrod 4th-6th.
Engine was built by Ruben Morales out of Lomita CA.
Re-tuned the car to mafless tune - Protomotive ofcourse.

Motor is now built for 1000+rwhp, however still adjusting to the viciousness of the A28's with 3.8L. I am limited by the turbos in terms of rwhp, but for now its plenty to handle. I will post 60-130 when the weather is better.

Cheer!
I might be the last one to the party, but did you bend a rod or something?

The reason for me asking is I would like to know the bottom end power limit of these engines.

Thanks

Hey Prodigy, that white 997 hoopty with the gt3 rear is mine waiting for some tlc from EPL.

In a similar boat as the OP, I had a pair of slightly used A28s that were sent to Tial to stuff larger wheels in them. Going through boost withdrawals and cant wait to see what Tony can do with this set up and e85 on a built motor

No I didn't bend any rods or studs, infact they were in excellent condition when we pulled them out. I actually broke all my lifters and dented the lifter housing. I think this was from hitting the rev limiter too many times under full wot. Just got to keep it below 7200rpm. I ran 1.6 bars on the car on a regular basis without any issues to the bottom end. Hope this helps.

Dyno Results

Gentlemen,

did a run on Gintani's Dyno Dynamics in Van Nuys CA and attached are the results. Please note we discovered a vacuum leak with the fuel pressure regulator after these runs. I will re-run the car and re-post results with no leaks.

Daaaamn brutha! That's a whole lota torque and 700 to the wheels!!!

Is the jagged wave a result of the vacuum leak or is it a smoothing
factor issue?

What was the boost pressure Orbelo?

Vacuum leak or not, those are some fantastic numbers! Have fun and be
careful.

Thanks man, yes the jagged wave is from vacum leak and lack of fuel pressure. The boost would hit 27.5 then drop down to 26-25.8 because of vacuum leak.

Keep you posted on my next run. Goodluck with your beast looking forward to seeing some results from you. Make sure to get good tires.
