It'd be neat to see both cars at the 'rink when you throw turns into the mix. A lightweight v. the heavyweight.....1989 v. 2009.... You can see the yellowbird have an edge out of the gate but once the Veyron gathers some steam it takes off. I'd love to see it on a road course where the heavy mass would probably be it's curse.

 

IMHO the ultimate addition to a collection. if i could only find a away....like win the lottery.

The driver in this clip is the same guy, albeit 20 years later. The video is in German but the faces on those average joes riding shotgun are priceless.....

All down to gearing and torque in this particular case.

 

I had that same RT12 for a three day weekend in 2006. My Mother looked the same as the guy in the jean jacket, just trying to hold down lunch.
What fun. Perhaps I can get her again this summer

 

one of my all time favorites, truly an amazing machine!

 

That one has a Yellowbird motor in a lightened 964 Chassis. It was one of two made in black for the Bedoer (sp?) Brothers way back when. It is a NASTY ride!
