Pilot Super Sports on 996TT?

Anyone been running MPSS on their 996TT. I can't seem to find the optimum set of wheel and tire sizes considering all the constraints (no fender rub, right offsets, matching diameters, etc). If so, please let me know your wheel and tire sizes. Thanks in advance for the help! (my pref is for 18", but I would consider 19" if needed).

from the reasearch i did with a 315 in the rear a 235.40.18 was the closest in terms of overall diameter and rpms.

that was based with a flaken 315.30.18

i noticed a significant reduction in road noise with the super sports ... too bad they dont come in 315 sizes for the rears but you could pair it with a ps2

315 25 19 is a horrible decision.
i dont know why other members have put this on their cars.
305 30 19 is the way to go.
a 315 25 has too thin of a sidewall for our cars.
less feedback, less grip etc.

Staying with 18", especially you track your car often.

19x8.5 235/35 and 19x11.5 305/30 ? As in 997tt? Isn't that too much rotational difference front to rear?

I run the Toyo R888 in 315/235 on stock rims. No issues what so ever. Tons on grip. I would never go back to regular tires

Yes, that sounds like too much rotational difference. 235/35-19 has a diameter of 25.7", 305/30-19 has a diameter of 26.5", a difference of 0.8" (3.1%). Max recommended rotational difference is 1% so you don't chew up your differential.

I run the same 18" R888's on the track. Great track tire.

Run the stock 18" PS2's 225/40 and 295/30 on the street. Great street tire.

I recently purchased a set of 19" 997 GT3 wheels, which were shod with new 315 25 Pirellis. They ride and handle awful. Going to replace even though there is plenty of tread life remaining - that's how bad they are.

Seems like one of the problems is that the Super Sports aren't available in enough sizes (especially in 18"). Based on the responses so far, I don't see a clear option for a set of Super Sports for the 996TT if one doesn't want to go to 19". Even then, the options seem limited. Any idea if they're planning to come out with more sizes for the MPSS?

r888's are absolutely fine in rain.
i use to have 315 30 18 michelin pilot sports and drove in the rain no problem.
truth be told though, i JUST got the confidence to push the car a bit harder in the rain than usual. (currently driving on a set of dedicated winter tires)
