New AP Roll Bar installed

Finally got around to installing my AP Roll bar from Dan At Vivid. The custom matched Polar Silver paint looks great and the fit was perfect. Thanks Dan! I need to get my harness now.

Very nice Todd,
I have been thinking doing one too since I truly don't know if the pop up going to work on the cab. Why didn't you remove the back supports of your back seats. I think it will look nicer w/o them.

btw, does it require any drilling?

Thanks Eugene, the back seat supports and seat belts will be removed soon. This was plug and play, no new holes required.

Yea, I hear it's got some power, we'll find out soon enough (TX2K12 and Texas Mile)

Super easy.. Drop car off at DriveSource. Go have lunch, pick up car later.

Actually, Steve said it went very well. The bars lines up with the existing holes. He mentioned that he had to remove a little paint from the inside of the freshly painted bar to fit the bolts through.

+1

I have this same bar from vivid. Installed myself with help from a non-mechanic friend in about two hours. Had to take the front seats out, and take the cross members off to get it in and lined up, the it all went back together with little effort. On a scale of 1 to 10 difficulty this was a pretty easy 2-3. You do need torx sockets or wrenches to get the seat bolts out, but other than that, it's pretty easy.

Also, once installed, you can easily take the cross members out in winter (non track season) to allow better access to the rear for non track driving activities.

Definitely a good product!

Nice touch. But is it really needed when it's in the garage all the time?

At least it will keep your wife or kid safe
