Coolant pipe repair - now required for DE!
#92
Took car to first driving event Saturday; a fitting on water pump manifold popped out on the drive home from work yesterday. Should have her back together by the weekend if all goes well and my "while Im in there" parts arrive as expected.

Check valves (I thought there was only one, but there are two)
Oil pressure sending unit
Metal turbo oil feed lines checked

Clutch kit
Slave cylinder (found it was leaking a bit with the engine removal. Bad news/good news)
Pressure accumulator
Spark plugs
Water hoses

Air filter
Crankshaft seal
Boost pressure test
Wastegate adjust
Endless brake fluid
Coolant
Throttle body seal
Precision Porsche GT2 deck lid (wing painted matte black)

It sure gives you piece of mind when it's done.
I pinned mine for three reasons.
1. I didn't like all the heat that's generated by welding.
2. I didn't want to do the research to find a competent welder and didn't want to pull the engine again if it leaked.
3. My stock pipes never failed and hadn't leaked.

Replacement can be done with the engine in place. The hardest part was getting the oil/water cooler mounting plate off. Required pushing the oil tank out of the way to get to one of the four 10mm mounting bolts. Once the manifold is out, everything is right there.
