Who has cup car shifter cables on their 996TT?
I am considering installing these cables on my car to improve 2nd to 3rd gear shifting under side loading. Anyone already have them on the car that can give me some feedback?

I do. I like them very much. My motor mounts cause more harshness than the cables, but they feel very solid. Like racking a rifle bolt changing gears.
I'm local-ish if you'd like to check them out.

IMO, car should have had them from factory. My forward gears cable kept popping out of place, since installing not one issue and it feels 10000000x more direct when shifting.
I would advice everybody to do this worthwhile mod.

What's the difference in the cables? Where to get them and what's the cost? How difficult for a DIY install?
Ha,ha...I just found my answer to all my questions, thought I'd share:

I have cup cables plus a 997.2 GT3 short shifter - great upgrade, previously had a BMC shifter only, good but a very short throw - the difference now is night and day precision wise. rifle bolt as said above!
Slightly more noise transmitted into the cabin - but I can live with that!
