Anyone with 20g's.

nice. id love to see dyno numbers from this car. i have seen 600+ whp dynos of 20Gs before. however every one else makes them seem like a laggy mythical unicorn... one thing to consider with these modified turbos is having your intake wheel match the flow of the hotside. because on all of these hybrid turbos the hotside is still TINY ! 18Gs are easy power and have been proven again and again and thats what they are perfect for, easy, cheap power for someone who want more then tune/exhaust.
as mark said the white 20g car in MN, destroyed alot of cars hes on this forum, hopefully he will chime in .
Links, i would do the 20s over the 18s.

Justin - we need to do some pulls as soon as the weather warms up!
I would love to head to head on 18's and 20's, with similar mods.

Why did you do external wastegates with K24 Turbo's?
#50
I bought them off of 6 speed for almost nothing, to prep for some bigger turbos. Then my passenger wastegate went on my k24/18s, and so I just bolted them up.
The sound alone is worth the effort however . .. but the ultra precise boost control is amazing. Another plus is for the track, I can just turn off my greddy and ride the .9 bar spring.

I have virtually every mod possible on a stock block (full blow through, 5 inch IC's, TB, full fuel system bigger injectors, GT 30's etc....the only other thing I could do is maybe alphas) and my car makes around 620 or so on pump (dynoed 590 on wastgates only) and about 800 on c16 at 1.6. bars.

If you are making 650 on pump you will make a lot more than 700 on race (800 is more like it). Conversley, if you are making 700 on race you will likely be making around 550 or so on pump.

Didn't you dyno 599 on kill?

OK Sean, looks like we need to line 'em up. Better bring the heat. Paulie will be there too.

So to sum it up pretty much a little more lag more little more power on pump gas. 20gs shine with race gas as where 18gs not so much. Sounds like the 20gs are the perfect budget hwy turbos especially on race...

Do you think you can run with the Big Dogs? You're gonna need more than 24/18's to run with any of the Houston boys.
