OBD fault codes

I'm getting CEL with OBD codes 0132 & 0152 after swapping to a sports exhaust fitted with O2 sensor bungs/extenders on the post cat sensors. Anybody have experience with this and knows what these codes mean?

Thanks

JE

Both codes means O2 sensor high voltage. Did you reconnect properly the sensors? Seems to be related to the o2 sensors after the cat on turbo model....

TBH I was going to post the full fault description and diagnosis for both codes however IMHO it will only scare the living daylight out of you.
The simplest fault it says will produce that code is.
1. false air getting to the Post O2 sensors
2. Falty O2
3. Valve lift problem....we wont even go there.

I'm a pragmatist and I recon you should retrace your steps on everything you have done. IMHO you will will have instigated the codes in some way.
Perhaps the dME is seeing false air due to the Bungs. If they are out of the gas flow too much they wont read correctly.
Also I would check all the exhaust seals.

Perhaps you should remove the extenders and put the O2's in correctly. If the codes change to ones saying that the exhaust gases are out of spec ( ie co too high) then you know there are no valve lift problems and the fault codes were being produced by the spacers.

I initially installed the exhaust without the bungs/extenders but got the CEL (can't recall the codes) for high O2 level on post cat O2 sensors. The codes 0132 & 0152 only came after I installed the bungs/extenders. Since the car is 11 years old I was thinking to change out all four O2 sensors and remove the bungs and see what happens and at the same time change the seals/gaskets.

What do you guys think??

That makes sense. IMO you are going to have to have the exhaust tuned in . ie get a tune done that takes care of the post cat O2's. I have had mine done by Todd when he did my 9E650 K1639 kits fitted.

My info is the codes mean oxygen sensor ahead of the TWC (three way converter), bank 1 (P0132) or bank 2 (P0152), above limit.

It can take a lot of time (several days) before the fault is detected and the error code registered.

Possible fault causes (in the order given in my reference): valve lift fault; false air on the oxygen sensor *after* the TWC; oxygen sensor.

Since you last touched the sensors after the TWC my WAG is you need to look there 1st for leaks, sensors not connected or bad sensors. What is probably happening is to try to get the #2 sensor readings in line the DME is adapting beyond allowable thresholds of the #1 sensors and the #1 sensors are being flagged when the problem lies at the #2 sensors.

BTW, the #1 (before the TWC) and the #2 (after the TWC) sensors are *not* interchangeable. The #1 sensors are wide band, the #2 are narrow band.

Sincerely,

Macster.
