Anyone know this car?
I am going down to Canton tomorrow to look at this car with a friend. He likes the color and the tip.
Anyone know anything about this car?

Do tell ... is he a stand up guy or ...
I know I know he is a used car salesmen but some do have integrity.
One thing I noticed in the add is a dealer installed X50 option. Sounds like BS to me. Someone installed an Evoms intake and flashed the ECU and called it X50 if you ask me.
Is there such a thing as dealer installed X50 option?

Brett is the owner of the dealership, if he say's it doesn't have paint work, it wont. I'm not sure about the whole X50 thing. He's a good guy, I've known him for about 8-10 years. He's been selling higher end cars for a very long time even though his dealership is pretty new to the scene.

you're right to be suspicious of that designation. then it lists that whatever they've done as producing 505 hp. so whatever "they"? installed, it doesn't at a glance appear to be anything from time of factory build; eg an x50 option. i'd call that advert misleading and start there in my forming assesment of the seller/dealer.

Don't listen to that guy ^, he doesn't know what he's talking about. His dealership has been growing like crazy. Probably some new guy wrote the description. Brett is a stand up guy that has sold thousands of cars. I'm sure he's not trying to be misleading.

what i do know, is that the ad copy for the car could be an (a) honest mistake? ( which one wouldn't expect from even a reasonably knowledgeable *DEALER* of cars such as these ) or (b) a possibly deliberate attempt to misrepresent the car to some unsuspecting and less knowledgeable potential buyer. never heard of THAT at a used car dealership, right? so scratch that.
what it ain't. it's not a "dealer installed x50 kit producing 505 hp", as the ad copy for the currently offered vehicle at this fine dealership states. it's something, just not "that". read it any way you like.

I just hung up with the owner of the dealership. He contacted the previous owner for clarification. It's a simple stage one the paid $7200 bucks for and no big conspiracy. Brett didn't write the ad, but it was a misprint and is being fixed as I type this reply. I still stand by my position that Brett is a stand up guy, I've known him for ten years and as stated earlier, if Brett says it's a good car, it's a good car. I'm sure me vouching for someone doesn't really mean anything, I was just trying to help.
Me saying you don't know what you're talking about probably didn't come out right, my apologies.

Nice color, I've got a speed yellow one too. 2002 with 27,000 miles. It looks like a good deal for the price and miles. Mine have black Champion RG5s. Tubi Style exhaust and flashed.
Good luck, not many Yellow ones out there. I've just painted the rocker panal to match. It makes the car look aggressive.

And there is no such thing as "a dealer installed X50 option". You can add K24s, intercoolers and even a factory tuned DME...and it still is NOT an "x50 option".

I thought the X50 issue was already cleared up. The ad was fixed on his web site, but not on e-bay. Do you think it's because he types slow or an over site?
Link to car with corrected description, hours ago...

The first post was about an ebay ad
You called the owner and reported to us it was being fixed 'as you typed'
The ad was not fixed
I posted a comment about it, making a bit of a joke
You felt compelled to misdirect and post a link to now a different ad.
Whatever.
My comments about X50 are not about this car, per se, but about the FACT that you cannot add the "X50 Option" to ANY car, period. You can add all the parts of the X50 option, but that doesnt make it an X50. X50 is a factory order code.... Arguably it is no big deal AT ALL, given the far superior performance of many aftermarket turbo designs (and tuning, and intercoolers) that you can now but. But as a sales tool, we all know why used car salesmen (not your buddy, but one of his copy editors) tosses around the "X50" moniker.
