Maybe I shouldn't have used "very", but we agree on the end result. There are different levels of corrosive. Heck, water will corrode steel and I drink it all day long.

Primary point was I didn't want some one to damage their stock fuel system as the original post lead me to believe.

Cheers

I know distance is a factor for me so i would just fill 2 45 gallon drums and pump it as i need.

Thanks in advance.
Does your station have a consistent supply of E85? In my area, the only station within reason does not have consistent availability, which makes it difficult to use as a fuel for a daily driver.

He's not planing to just dump e85 in it as is and go , lol wow really? Like Chris said he understands the process to convert over. Basicly the whole fuel system .

So with that said do you really want me to go over the pros of e85 on a boosted car?

+1. these trolls that just jumped out of nowhere are not very intelligent, OP would obviously have to set up the car and fuel pumps to work on e85. Buddy of mine runs his GTR off of it, its cheaper, smells like corn and doesnt always like to start on very cold days.

E85 has pros and cons. 60mi away to gas station is one of those cons.

- E85 burns cooler, some motors running it are cool to touch
- E85 has higher octane equivalent, I have seen figures from 105-114
- E85 is cheap
- E85 is a cleaner alternative

- E85 is not readily available everywhere
- You need 33% more fuel to run E85. Example: You need a 1000hp fuel system to make 700hp on E85
- More fuel - > more pumps or big pump, bigger lines, bigger injectors, possible new FPR
- E85 fuel system needs to be pickled for when the car is not used - thats when damage can happen is E85 pulls water.
- E85 can clean the fuel system and move a lot of gunk up and clog fuel filters and injectors... need to be aware of that when you first convert. After that your fuel system will be clean and fresh.

I run e85 100% of the time. I can tell you that after the inital cost of conversion, I would def recommend.
Pros:
-50-90 whp increase
-cheaper to fill up
-faster throttle response
-proven (your not a beta test!)
Cons:
-In cold inital start-up a bit harshe and when cruising at low RPMs can feel a bit "boggy" at times
-less mpg, I have gone through tank in a few hours driving hard!
-tough to gauge miles to empty (although this may be due to injector size throwing off trip computer)
-Spark plugs go bad fast (at least in my case one spark plug went bad after a few hundred miles)
-availability (doesnt appear to be issue with you either)
-fuel system mods (doesnt appear to be issue with you either)

Hope this helps!

Corey, I'm going to throw some E85 in tonight and hit the track. I'll let you know how that works out.

I've talked with Todd about doing an E85 conversion this summer combined with a "flex fuel" type situation. It's intriguing for sure, but its an expensive conversion and I don't know if I'm willing to wait for that work to be done in Arkansas.

Ok so let me clear some stuff up.
I don't drive my car on a daily basis. I drive it on the weekends and the ocational night for some fun on a deserted private road. (enough said ) I have been running c16 or Ms109 for 2 years straight.
End of last year summer I heard the motor knocking so I said its time for Rods which I am doing now and am doing a full fuel system. Weather it is a E85 or the C16 route I am doing injectors pumps lines regulators yes the whole system. So yes I know what's involved.

I haven't been to a gas station in 2 years with the car so I care less of 94 octane and a gas pump. I would rather fill 2 full 45gallon tanks up and leave them so when I need them there are there. I don't Mind driving the 60 mins to fill them up as they will be sitting in my warehouse and I can Pump them when I need to. C16 or e85.

The station has it all year round and has had it for a few years.

So I am happy that the guys that are running it have responded and I value the imput greatly.

I believe best way to story is in plastic actually. I also would not store it for more then 1-2 months.
