I think there is a disproportionate number of owners from the IT world on 6 Speed just because we like internet forums... and yes, I am an IT consultant.

That said, I have owned Porsches since I was 20 - the tt being my fourth. If you can do your own work and want to spend a significant percentage of your income on your car then almost any profession will allow you to buy your dream car. Stay away form Lambos and Ferraris though, as they will really break the bank in regards to maintenance.

I teach at The Lone Star College for Spider Monkeys. If you search, you will see that many here...especially the older members, made a killing in the Spider Monkey Boom.

Sadly, the result of the bust was that there were many, many displaced Spider Monkeys with few career choices besides crime and other marginal occupations like Spider Monkey ****.

I like to think that I make a difference and help many Spider Monkeys find meaningful occupations, many go on to 4 year degrees.

I don't make Lambo TT money, but at the end of the day I think I made a difference.

I work for the evil empire, 16 years now..in between that had 2 small restaurants with partners( that is work, 7/16).
