Yes there are alot of people who run the 305/30/19. I found this when doing my 315/25/19 research when I had 997tt wheels with the 235/35 and 315/25 on them.

Hopefully they chime in here.

If you could get 255/35/19 to fit up front, you would be much closer in diamter to 305/30/19.

Just spoke with Michelin today directly and they said there is no plan to discontinue the 315/25/19 PS2 even though it's a fairly narrow market. They currently show these tires in stock. Don't know about other manufacturers but the PS2 is available and probably the best tire in this size anyway. I'm not sure where the rumor and paranoia got started....

The 315x25x19R is a better match with 235x35x19F if you're running AWD. -2 degrees rear camber might be a little much on the street.

The truth lies in-between. Finding Michelins is easy at $580+ per tire. Continentals at $600+ are hard to find. Finding invos, Yokos or Falkens at $400-$450 per tire is the problem. Toyo T1Rs are definitely discontinued.

Basically, the more affordable tires are being discontinued. Even Ebay is drying up.

Like I said I was just talking about the PS2. I don't know anything about the availability of the cheaper tires. I've always been happy with the PS2 which I found to be very good even for mild track work. A whole new set of 235/35/19 and 315/25/19 PS2s is about $500 more than the Invos so in the scheme of things not a big deal since I only put about 3k street miles per year on the car and the tires should last about 3 years at that rate. I run Nitto NT01s in a 235/40/18 and 315/30/18 on the track.

that's what i have, the car feels so much better, no more understeer and that was done without touching the sway bar or anything else.

I also upgraded compound which might have helped also... went from 315/25 and 235/40 to the 305/30 and 255/35.

Tires are a LOT taller though. Expect some problem in the front but not in the back.

When you converted to RWD, what kind of LSD and transmission cooler did you go with to make the car perform well when pushed hard in other than a straight line? I've thought about doing the conversion but RWD with an open diff is pretty useless especially for track work. Thx....

235 35 19 fr. and 305 30 19 rear for me. Feel tight, no rubbing, no issues. Clutch was replaced at 50K miles. I have about a 1/2 inch spacer on my rears. Everything seems fine with these Hankook V-12's.

I know the revs per mile are off, but it does not feel like something is off. Handles very well. I hope nothing wears out from the fronts rotating around 22 times more per mile. It doesn't sound good to be that off. I wonder if the spacer affects rotation speeds at all? I wouldn't think so. I can't really find a perfect match. I may switch to the 255 35's on the front if I can find a match.

Looks like Hankook has those sizes. I need to switch. Thanks for the info.

22 more revs per mile is roughly 1 more rev per second when doing 130 mph or so. Is that is enough slip to overheat or damage anything? Does anyone have any first hand evidence of front diff failures when running a 305/30/19 rear?Evidence, not conjecture or heresay. I've asked this before, but where is this magical 3% written? Any Porsche literature or service bulletin?

The 3% is a comparison from stock to aftermarket to be sure the speedo reads properly, but with all wheel drive cars, everything changes. Have to be close to avoid slip from what I understand.
