Awesome 996tt X-pipe exhaust
#17
Enrique stopped by today to give me a demo and man does it sound good. They got the x merge just right and different to the other ones I've seen in the past and the length of the tubes also. My favorite part is the high pitch shriek from 5k to red line. For how good the flow is the interior noise really isn't bad either. Way to go and good luck on the dyno.

I even know where your family business is.
Are you working today and have the car with you? Maybe I can meet you up at Pleasanton for lunch and a ride. PM me.

Any before and after dynos or did you not get a chance to do dyno before hand?
The exhaust sounded nice and quiet while you were driving and talking to me on your cell, I was surprised. As always good to chat and I will find out what I can about what we spoke about.

Well just take a flash car dyno graph and than stick mine over it. : ) Alex thinks no ifs or butts, it will make more power, period. Two more things to finish this car as my track/street car. Rear diffuser and Cup Car rear wing : )

i have been around turbo's for a few years now and heard numerous exhaust setups on 996tt's.. so this feedback comes from someone who knows exactly what an exhaust should should deliver..
enrique swung by sf and showed me the setup he came up with.
at first he did a quick fly by and it literally hurt my ears it was that high pitched..similar to the tone synonymous with ferrari's
drove the car and it produced no drone over 3k and the setup just works for the car.. you can hear the turbo's spooling.. and these are just small k16's
looking forward to the titanium system

Sounds awesome Enrique. That is a real unique sounding exhaust. Whatever you did, it sounds like you did it right. The shriek at high rpm sounds amazing. I got to hear that in real life. I just installed a Europipe last weekend. Would be a good sound comparison.

Not sure if it pulled timing or not but with solid motor mounts, k16's with UMW tune at 1 bar, my exhaust --- net results 426 whp/ 498wtq ... graph to post when I get it in my email on Monday Oh yea, my car has 87k miles on the clock too
They did'nt add cooling fan's to the intercoolers nor the intake, just strap and run it.

You need to also dyno it with the old exhuast!
