Some codes I'm chasing

So I have owned my 996tt(alan's) for 4 days, I did not PPI, the car is mint in and out, we share mutual friends. Now full disclosure, Alan has not backed off after the sale as I have contacted him regarding some troubles.
The day drove car home( also car sat for a year), I check codes with dash command and OBD2. p1128 came up..damn...ok remove MAF and spray with CRC non residue and refitted MAF. Started up, drove for about 5 miles, nada. Next morning, CEL and misfire codes, p1128, p1126...damn again. This time I buy a Bosch MAF from my tech, he drops off, I install new one, clear codes, and reset, buy pulling battery for 10 minutes. Started up, idled beautiful, no smoke. Drove her back and for tO work for last 2 days(180 miles total)... Way home tonight, CEL and P1126....damn.....
Ok a couple of things, smoking at idle came back...light Greyish smoke, smells rich, and felt a tad rough. I can smell gasoline as well, but more from tank area. Not strong, faint.
I ordered 997 coil packs, and plugs as Alan told me he never replaced, and car has 56k miles, 12k with mods.
Is it EVAP valve? I won't be able to install coil packs and plugs till WED, maybe a vac leak?
I'm a little frustrated....
TIA

That sounds like when I bought my 996 TT... I kept driving it because I wasn't getting consistent codes. Finally, I got a code I could work with misfile on cyl 3. I replaced the plugs and that coil pack only. The car has been great ever since. It was a real bugger chasing down that bucking bronco at the beginning though.

Thanks slider...Alan is great, we just spoke.....2 things lead me to believe I caused my own problem...1) the p1128/1126 can be a # of things, and EVAP issue..2) Saturday picked car up and filled car while running, same thing last night...I have been smelling gas....I guess I flooded the filter. Alan said guys from protosport explained that to him, as he did it once. I am still doing the maintenance but I think the EVAP is my problem.

Maybe missfires associated with sitting for a year? Oil can somethimes puddle in the cylinders and maybe the plugs got fowled from the excessive oil from the year sitting.

The new plugs, and coil packs will be another check off the list. I'm hoping I didn't ruin EVAP filter, but sounds like maybe. She will be getting all work done we'd next week, meantime I still am driving her....the misfires aren't there, just P1126
