Pictures of my slate grey 996tt...just because
I've had the car for a bit over two months, and to be honest, I've worked on it a lot more than driven it so far. Car was solid, but just needed some TLC from an actual enthusiast. Now I can actually enjoy the car. Not going to be able to do much else with it for a while, as I am currently in escrow on a worthy home for the turbo (and me). So far here's what I've done:
- Much needed detailing inside and out
- New tires (still had the original 10 year old front tires on it when I bought it, talking about sketchy...)
- Engine oil and filter change with 5W-40
- Transaxle oil change with Delvac 75W-90
- 997 short shift kit
- Gbox detent
- 710N diverter valves
- Authentic Porsche GT2 rear lid and wing in factory original slate grey
- GT2 rear carpet
- Removed rear wiper
- Painted bumperettes
- New front spoiler
- Full coverage clear bra, entire front end, headlights, mirrors, A-pillars, sills and lower rear-quarter panels, intercooler inlet ducts, behind rear wheels, wing leading edges, and door handles
- Silver hood crest
- Matte silver rear emblem
- Tint on rear lights
- iPod connection

That thing looks awesome! I've often thought about removing my rear wiper and rear seats. My car is lowered and everyday I scrape, sometimes I wish it had the factory springs in it.
You car looks really great!
