tire decision

Also looking for help in the same area. I am going to pull the trigger on a new tire wheel combo, and am told that I should try going 245x35x18 front with 315x30x18 rear, and that wider front will help out on the track days. Yoko or kumo have been suggested. I am on 19s now with pss10s but want a more track oriented setup.

I run Kumho Ecsta XS in those sizes. Very aggressive summer/track tire - not so good in the wet. C&D tested them against a bunch of the typical tires and it beat all of them in the dry including the PS2's. They are about $1000 for a set.

Using R88s 315/235 on stock rims no spacers. Car lowered to just below GT2 spec. No rubbing, tons of traction ... love em

Do You think I would need to roll my fenders with oz wheels, spacers?, and with the nitto NT01's. I was told that the nitto's are not great for street, and are better for track days. What is your use? How are they in wet conditions?

I rarely drive my car on the street, and only in the rain if I'm caught by surprise. Because I have a lead foot, the track is the only place I really enjoy driving the car.
NT-01's have a tread pattern when new so should be fine in the rain. Once the tread wears off then you are basically on slicks. I drive to and from the track, and drive freeways and city streets to get to my shop, and they feel like any other street tire in those conditions. You certainly won't get anywhere near as much tread life as a Michelin street tire.

HI,did you need those 7mm spacers with the 245s in the front for clearance??
