The $100k Ebay GT2........

Artic Silver 02, 3900 miles, 19"s. Located in Wa. Some of us were watcing it when it was at $100k with reserve met. Shady seller, 0 feedback and will not allow a local pick up? It is now at $110,100 with 40 minutes left in the auction. What will it end at?.....

I don't think it is real either. Sure I will send some guy I don't know 110K and hope he ships it to me. I make transactions like that all the time. RIGHT!

maybe it was a dummy auction to see how much they could get for it?
or maybe it was just a fraud...

not sure if the deal is real but this is truly one of the very first US GT2. the production date was Oct 01. it might not be a bad deal for the owner at this price because the wholesale price on this car might be lower than what he got now.

I think the price is about right. An '02 TT is wholesaling for $80K;a GT2 at $30K more sounds about right. Right??

The whole thing sells a bit. Bidders all private listings. Why would any reasonable person expect someone to turn over $110K for a car they have never seen and hope it gets delivered?

If I'd be making a purchase on a 110k car then I would spend extra money to fly out there and check the car out and pick it up I don't care how much work he has he can spare 10 minutes of his day so I could pick up the car personally and hand over the check to him. Also he sais he doesn't accept cash as a payment ... Why would you not take cash?

Happens all the time. I usually buy new so this is really not an issue.

Cash??? I wouldn't either.....There are many reasons not to accept 110K in cash....counterfit is one and anyway, try walking in the bank with a bag of money, you'll get a lot of attention really fast. Most dealers won't accept that much cash either.

I know of quite a few up in New England that accept cash...
It just takes longer because they have to count and verify.
