Clutch pedal not returning

Some folks are having similar problems, but mine is a little unique. I did the clutch helper spring removal mod and it's the best mod I've done so far. The following only happens in the morning at first start up. I press the clutch but the pedal doesn't return all the way. It hangs up about inch or two from the top. I have to hook my toe and pull it up all the way and everything is back to normal. This happened immediately the morning after removing the spring. Then it happened 2 more times in the past 3 days. I don't see hope the absence of the spring would cause this because the spring force is acting in the opposite direction. Any thoughts?

Mine does that as well. I think mine needs bled as well - had a new slave and accumulator put in last year and I don't think they bled it well enough...

indeed, sounds like a clutch slave is moot or maybe a break in the line (loss in pressure)

Better get a new slave and have the system reblead. New slave is amazing, makes th pedel feel great.

best of luck & be sure you have the pedal spring installed correctly and nothing is binding on the floormats

thats really all that comes to mind when thinking of the clutch system. Its really an easy simple system.

I agree. sounds like the slave is leaking or losing pressure. look to replace.

Best way to check if it has to do with the spring is to reinstall the spring and see if the problem goes away.

Let me know if bleeding fixes your problem. I'm taking mine in to change out all the fluids. Clutch, tranny, oil, diff, etc.

Consider the GT-2 mod and remove the slave and accumulator.

Do a search here for "gt2 slave" you'll get some hits.
Basically you remove the existing slave / accumulator / pentosin system and replace with modified OEM components using brake fluid.
Improves clutch feel/modulation and removes the problematic slave/accumulator setup.
Looks like parts are @$1k and labor may be @6-8 hours most likely.
