I also changed the alternator a couple of months ago.

ok guys so i am happy right now lol first of all thank u guys for all the help.
so i got home put the car on jack stands to check the solenoid connection and everythig was fine.
next on my list was to take out the fuel pump. i umplugged the cables but decided to plug them back in to wait for my friend and show him all the symptoms.. well the car decided to start right away!

btw guys what fuel filter or whatever this is?

well the problem is coming from the fuel pump.. it could have been a bad or dirty ground or the pump is on its way out.. i guess time will tell but at least i know where the problem is coming from

Actually i was able to find the smell and what seems to be the whole problem.. it looks like a short circuit
