996 turbo tires

I'm new to this; need 4 new tires, the Sumitomo's are $650 for 4 and seem to be the best too on Tire Rack specs. Anyone know if this is too good to be true?

That's what I'm running. Just picked up 2 rears as they tend to wear quicker than the fronts.

Nice tire- for the money I also like the Hankook V12s. Using them now and they track pretty decent as well.

Used them for one season. They are still serviceable but not much longer. Just got some new suspension and an alignment so we will see if these go longer.

Did you do any tracking Jay? I have a set in the garage waiting on my wheels to show up. I'm curious how they'll hold up on under the power of the Turbo. I had them on my Audi and they were great. Anyone tried to launch hard on them?

I just got a set of Sumi lls, I went 225/40 and 285/30 in 18" both F&R have exactly the same revs/mile which makes the PSM very happy, handle awesome, look good, quiet. I ran 2 sets on my C2. Best kept tire secret!

No tracking, just spirited driving. Agreed they are very quiet. Hoping to see more than one season with the new set up!

Best choice for the money, overall a pretty good tire as well. Replaced my Pzeros, mich before that, on the street all work about the same, michelin has a small edge on the track...imho.
