dead battery

I hope you are aware there is a switch to operate the bonnet which is located on the left side of the driver seat. When you got your battery connected, positive to the red post in the fuse box, negative to the door latch, operate the switch on the side console..... No need to operate the key release....

Update

Well a mechanic friend came over and played with the cables and the fuse and got it opened up.


However he wanted to jump start the car and on the second attempt the PSM failure came up on the dash so I didn't let him try again.


The car is on battery charger now until it's all charged up.


What about the PSM failure? Is that just the code that needs to be cleared?

NOTE: Read the archives and figured out the PSM code is a normal thingy and will clear out after few miles of driving.

Should probably have that battery load tested to make sure it's up to snuff for the car. It may hold a 12-14v charge but under load may not have enough amperage to spin the motor over. Dont want to end up in the same pickle as you did here because the battery is bad
