What's a reasonable cost for replacing front BOSE speakers

Hey guys,

Had a disaster of an install so far (very long story), but I'm almost out of the woods. Last piece is the front speakers so my new amp won't run at 1 Ohm.

Ignoring the cost of the speakers, what should somethig like this run? Did you guys just use your OEM Grilles? I've seen a handful of posts suggesting that sometimes you can reuse the grilles, but not sure how that affects the cost vs going full custom or something. I want this to look stock but just sound better.

Junk all the Bose speakers. Speaker cost is a function of you amp specs. Check the specs on your new amp and match the speakers to its amplification power and response. A $1,000 amp hooked up to $100 speakers is still gunna sound like $100 speakers. There are many options that will fit under all the factory grills for the OEM look with much more superior sound.

In case anyone was curious. The final cost of the front speaker install alone (not including parts) was 350. That seemed high, but they supposedly built mounting brackets for all the speakers or some such thing. Whatever. Wiring the new headunit and new amp (from my old 4 channel which the previous owner had) and sub box install was like 400 I think? (in labor).

I put some Focals in there with a 5 channel JL amp XD7005 or something? And two JL Audio 10's in a custom box from a member on the forum. Just wanted to give some other members ideas of cost.

The system is pretty outstanding. I wanted to stab the installer half the time, but the end result was solid. It can easily drown out the EP2 Loud, so my noise options are good exhaust sound on the streets, drone on the highway, or really loud stereo. I'm fairly certain I will go deaf.
