You know, I was going to try to argue that it wasn't that bad but I can't. It really is.

Anyway, I'm trackin' and I'm happy.

I have finished my roof rack tire mount. It looks like it will work well. Here are a couple of poor quality shots. I used the Porsche Tequipment roof rack and bolted my own aluminum extrusion frame to it. I am going to add an additional strap around all the tires to make it redundant.
yeeesshh (no offense)! that can't be safe, well maybe it is but it doesn't look safe. why don't you slap on a htch and trailer it? much cleaner and IMO think safer.

i installed the mounts onto my car for my bike, primarily, but will be using it for tires once i get the trailer

Shweet lookin' bike--what kind is that? I was gonna guess Serotta, but it looks to be all CF.

ahhh carbon, my weakness . it's actually a giant tcr carbon. of my bikes (pinarello prince, litespeed siena and the giant) my favorite is the giant. doesn't have the cache of the pinarello or litespeed but the giant outperforms either, hands down.

This is the answer... $500-700... I don't have mine yet, we got a tire retailer PCA member who hauls all our sets to the track and puts them on (as long as we buy from him), but I am getting this trailer next month to go to tracks further away.

this trailer is made by South Sport in Florida... I'm getting mine used.

Have fun at the track, but remember to put a condom on your car, I have the same color and the chips show as much as on black cars (damn you artic silver owners).

I don't want to cut holes in my nice **** so a trailer is out. The tires are safe, just looks ugly.

no need to cut holes in the bumper, only in the bumperettes. they are easily removable and can easily be replaced if needed to go back to stock.

i did this on my old boxster. when it was time to trade in for my 996 i just bought new bumperettes and swapped them out. minimal expense and i reused the mounts on the 996

Great lookin' rear, but why no tips? I know they only add weight but the back looks a little down-market without them!
