What a bunch of heartless punks on that site. That crash is no where near a laughing matter.

I respect those who respect this driver and the family. For those who made fun of this accident will get it one day , one day, not too far away from their life. Cmon, karma dude, grow up to "some" of those MB owners! grow up. geez

My condolences to him and his family. I feel bad and its a beautiful car.

I don't see how that could have been a fatal accident. All of the passive restraints went off and there was no intrusion into the passenger area or signs of rollover. It looks like a high $ accident but certainly not fatal. Are you sure that the driver died? If he did then it's the passive restraints that injured him. If that's true, it makes me want to reconsider the safety of my 745Li. Did you guys know that BMW deactivates the rear side air bags on all 7 series because they are dangerous to children? You have to have them activated if you want them.

No way that was fatal, barring a fluke, or they weren't wearing a seatbelt.

BMW designs may currently suck, but I doubt that their engineering has gotten that bad.

Ditto on the not fatal verdict. Actually, the car did its job very well- it took damage but the passenger cell didn't. Airbags deployed as they should because it looks like multiple sensors would've been hit.

I fail to see what the big deal is about this crash. Was it a fatality ? There are probably 5000 or more auto fatalities around the world on a given day. Guess I don't see the significance of this post other than to view a toasted new bangle m5..,.
